New Environmental Tool Applied With
Environmental Resource Management Inc. 

EDMONTON, Alta October 26, 2006/ Wavefront Energy and Environmental Services Inc., a provider and licensor of proprietary technology for improved oil recovery and groundwater remediation is pleased to announce that a new environmental tool has been successfully applied with Environmental Resources Management Inc. (“ERM”) a licensee of the Company’s patented fluid flow technology, now marketed as the “Primawave™” process in the environmental sector.

Conducted with a branch of the United States military, the new tool employed a novel tool design known as the “Hornet”. ERM’s vast experience recognizes that a key factor in achieving a successful remedial project is the delivery of remedial treatment liquids to targeted locations in the subsurface. Development of the Hornet was driven to meet market demand for a low cost, effective device with unlimited chemical compatibility for targeted delivery of remedial treatment liquids. At the field trial site, the Hornet was successful in delivering a mixture of magnesium sulphate (Epsom salts) and potassium nitrate for the treatment of benzene as well as emulsified edible oil for the indirect treatment of chlorinated hydrocarbons.

Wavefront President and CEO, Brett Davidson stated, “We are pleased to see ERM continue to use the Primawave™ process where they have seen the technique inject liquids more uniformly and up to three to five times faster than traditional pressure injection. There exists a large potential market for Wavefront’s Primawave™ Process and more specifically, the Hornet, in the environmental sector where the US Federal Government estimates it will spend US $ 239 billion over the next 75 years, and private industry is spending US $4.5 billion per annum¹. Management believes the success of the Hornet tool can the leverage the Primawave™ process to companies who depend on the rapid and efficient placement of treatment remedies at multiple injection sites. To this end, the Company’s strategy is to license Primawave™ and Horent tools to environmental consulting and service companies. At present the Company is reviewing additional licensing options with other environmental consulting and service companies”.
