Drilling Operations Commence In Rogers County, Oklahoma
EDMONTON, Alta November 16, 2005/ Wavefront Energy and Environmental Services Inc., a provider and licensor of its proprietary DeepWaveSM (http://onthewavefront.com/dw_what-is-deep-wave.htm) Technology for improved oil recovery and groundwater remediation is pleased to announce that drilling operations have commenced in Rogers County, Oklahoma.
The present development strategy for the lease calls for the drilling of 10 horizontal wells and 22 new water injectors to augment the existing 40 vertical producers and 18 water injectors. When fully developed it is anticipated that 40 DeepWaveSM systems will be deployed in the Rogers County lease. The current drilling program will see the first horizontal well drilled and completed with a planned horizontal leg of 500 feet in length. Additional wells in the current program consist of 4 water injectors straddling the horizontal, and 1 water injector being drilled in an existing 5-spot waterflood pattern.
Brett Davidson, President and CEO of Wavefront
commented, “We have developed a very sound exploitation strategy that fully
captures the benefits of DeepWaveSM. This is a considerable
opportunity to maximize recovery of the approximately 15 million barrels of oil
in place. The Company and its working interest partners are targeting oil
production levels at Rogers County of 1000 bbl/day or better when the
exploitation strategy is fully implemented. Depending on external factors we
anticipate the exploitation strategy to be completed in a minimum of twelve
months. We look forward to reporting on progress and production results once
DeepWaveSM is implemented.”
