DeepwaveSM Well Stimulation - Used In Three Applications

 

EDMONTON, Alta March 14, 2006/ Wavefront Energy and Environmental Services Inc., a provider and licensor of its proprietary DeepWaveSM (http://onthewavefront.com/dw_what-is-deep-wave.htm) Technology for improved oil recovery and groundwater remediation is pleased to announce that three new DeepWaveSM acid stimulations in horizontal wells have been completed including its licensee’s first application in Canada.

The stimulations were completed near Homer City, PA; Fort St. John, BC; and outside of Bakersfield, CA. All of the stimulations were performed by a licensee that will see the Company earn a percentage royalty on the gross revenue of each stimulation. The California stimulation was the third stimulation performed by the operator. It was also their second stimulation that involved a tracer study to further understand the distribution and penetration depth on injected liquids. Production results for the aforementioned stimulations may be available at a later time.

Wavefront President and CEO Brett Davidson stated, “The positive result of prior DeepWaveSM stimulations have generated significant interest from the user community. Though the Canadian operator is not unfamiliar with DeepWaveSM, having used it in heavy oil development for several years, we are pleased that they chose to implement the technology in a new area to revitalize waning oil production in a horizontal well. The Homer City, PA operator is a first time user of DeepWaveSM technology.”

Mr. Davidson further stated, “The adoption rate of DeepWaveSM is steadily increasing with several additional stimulations scheduled with a variety of operators having a varied range of applications. Management is very optimistic that the wide cross-section of applications DeepWaveSM offers oil companies will generate further interest in the technology. Demonstrating the versatility of DeepWaveSM in non-conventional applications will be a powerful marketing tool as the Company and its licensee commences global commercialization of the service.”
